Fireside Chat with the President
What A HUGE Surprise! The Board meeting, in February, ran a little longer than usual. When we walked into the meeting room, I could not believe my eyes! There was a SRO (Standing Room Only) room of CarClub Members. I quickly looked over my agenda, to see what could have drawn such a crowd. I want to Thank ALL of you that showed up, I really appreciated it.
A THANK YOU to Saturn/North for providing the "wings." Even with the large attendance there were enough wings for everyone.
SPS was the mini-event for February and the CEO gave some insites to the aftermarket and explained some of the do’s and don’t’s. At first I was afraid that he was going to get to technical, but he explained things so that most of us understood him. Based on the questions that he received after the meeting, we are planning to have SPS return later in the year to talk about the "handling aspects" of a Saturn.
Saturn’s National Donor Day was a huge success. Almost 60 pints of Blood were collected and about 10 pints came from CarClub members.
We can still use a few volunteers for the Autoshow March 10th to March 18th. Call Tim Jackson at 759-1100, if you want to help out.
You will get a chance to see Saturn’s new VUE, which will be at the show. This vehicle will be available later this year.
Tentatively, we have picked Tuesday, June 19th for our 6th annual trip to Spring Hill. We will leave Columbus on Monday June 18th and are already starting to include events for this event. This year we may have a couple of surprise guests. More details as we put things together. Any thoughts that you have please call Becky at 470-3517.
There will be a special CarClub meeting in March. Look for details on page 2 of this Newsletter.
Remember that our March meeting at Saturn/SouthEast, will also be our Autoshow Mini-Event. If you have signed up for the Autoshow try to make this meeting. To help those who have signed up, Saturn will give us information about its NEW models. This will help us to know the answers to the questions that may be asked.
See you at Saturn/SouthEast on March 8th at 7:00 p.m., or at Saturn/North on Saturday March 24th at 10 a.m.!
Remember, you are not just IN the Club, you ARE the Club!

Special
Saturday CarClub Meeting March 24thYou have asked for it and your CarClub has listened. Requests have come in for us to consider another day for our meetings. Some work evenings or have other conflicts.
To try and make it easier, we will have a meeting on March 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Saturn/North. This will be in addition to our normal meeting. We will try to have one meeting each quarter, on a Saturday.
Our normal Thursday meetings will continue as scheduled. You don’t have to attend both the March 8th and the March 24th meetings. Agenda items will be the same!
Your CarClub continues to try and include ALL into our offerings and events. Let us know what we can do to help you.
Hope to see some
NEW faces at our Saturday meeting!Any questions, please call our Hotline at (614) 470-3517.
St Angela Bingo
Eleven CarClub members assisted the residents play Bingo on February 15th. Everyone had a great time, especially the residents.
The donations were again greatly appreciated by all of the residents. Thank you all for the contributions.
The next Bingo session will be held on the next third Thursday, March 15th, so mark your calendars and plan to help out. This is a great activity for those who cannot participate in the Adopt-A-Highway program or other outdoor CarClub activities.
St Angela Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is located at:
