The Old Testament Book of Numbers
If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind
his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do
according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
Numbers 30:2 KJV

wilderness; people attempt to enter Canaan,are repelled.

the sabbath, fringes on their garments.
* 16 * Korah's rebellion; the congregation murmurs and God sends a
plague.

* 19 * water of separation; on coming in contact with a dead body.
* 20 * death of Miriam, people complain for lack of water, Moses
smites rock; Edom refuses Israel passage; Aaron dies.
* 21 * Israel fights Arad the Canaanite king- the fiery serpants,
Israel fights Sihon (king of Amorites) and Og (king of Bashan).
* 22 * Balak sends to Balaam to curse Israel; the donkey speaks.
* 23 * Balaam blesses Israel twice according to the Lord's word.
* 24 * Balaam blesses Israel and prophecies of their victories.
* 25 * Israel commits whoredom with daughters of Moab, Phineas
stops plague by thrusting javelin through Zimri and Cozbi.
