What's
in here?

- Web surfing
- I like to explore the web to see how people take different approaches to resolve similar
issues. I use my web browser's ability to review source HTML code to see how web page
designers accomplished some interesting approaches. Also, the web is loaded with all kinds
of resources and examples just waiting to be found.
- Systems developer
- I enjoy solving business problems. My solution is not necessarily a technical one. I
pride myself in making the business person looking for a solution as comfortable with the
solution as possible. This could require some extra training or extra time to make some
changes that the user can appreciate. I'm from the school where the most perfect technical
solution isn't worth anything if it doesn't solve a business need or a non-technical user
can't use it.
- Programmer/Analyst
- Being a designer and developer of computer systems brings instant gratification. It's
personally thrilling to plan out a solution, develop an application that implements the
solution, hand the results to a user and it all works together.
- Compete in bullseye target shooting
- I wanted to list something not related to computers. I compete in a classification of
pistol target shooting called bullseye. It requires the shooter to hold the pistol in
one-hand and shoot a paper target, usually 25-yards away. There's something almost
Zen-like in the concentration required to master a complicated piece of machinery like a
pistol and train all of the muscles involved so the desired result of putting a bullet in
the 'X' ring (a perfect shot) can be achieved.
