Rescue Diver
Preventing/Managing
Diving Emergencies Skills.
There's even more. Rescue Diver is a unique course that not only
provides the skills to make you a safe diver and a better dive
buddy, but it's also basic for anyone thinking of becoming a
diving professional.
This engrossing program teaches you to focus on other divers, as well as yourself, and shows you how to recognize and prevent a diving accident before it occurs, and how to respond if one does. Although the subject matter is serious, the course is both intensely rewarding and enjoyable. The PADI Rescue Diver Course, open to certified Advanced divers, provides the training needed to manage or prevent diving emergencies and to act as a safety assistant during Open Water training dives. Medic First Aid is a prerequisite for Rescue Diver certification. The course consists of lectures and 12 Open Water Training Exercises. The couse emphasizes flexibility and adapting the diver to personal and environmental conditions. While it is demanding and serious, it is still a fun and rewarding program.
Cost: $209 includes manual, rescue slates, air fills, certification fee.
