Gilboa is located about 1 ½ hours north of Columbus off Rt 244. The max depth is about 120 feet and water temp is pretty cold all year round below the thermocline. The shallow section has a flooded woods area with trees, a road , boat and other land vehicle wrecks. The deep section is a sheer wall with lines and platforms set up at different depths. You’ll need special permission to go below 80 feet (why would you want to!).

From Columbus, go north on Route 23 to Route 15 north and follow signs to I-75. Follow I-75 north for about 5 minutes to the Route 224/Ottawa exit. Take a right at the exit ramp, you will be heading west on Route 224 for 18 miles and look for a giant cow statue on your left (this will be the small town of Gilboa, Ohio. Turn left at the cow onto a gravel road and travel about 5 blocks to Main Street. Take a right on Main St., the Quarry entrance will be on your left. Phone: (419) 456-3300.
