Discovery of the remains of what seems to be two badly eroded iron shovel blades was the highlight of the second year of excavation of the Lynn Acres furnace site by the Archaeo-Pyrogenics Society. The blades are approximately 10 by 16 inches in width and length. The nested blades were carefully levitated out of the Lynn Acres furnace work area excavation in September 1993. The blades are in storage until a conservator can be secured to study them
