MATERIALS PROCESS ENGINEER

Tosoh SMD, Inc. is a leading supplier of high purity thin film deposition materials and related consumable products used worldwide by manufacturers of electronic components.  TSMD is ISO 9001/ISO14001/QS 9000 registered.  From our state-of-the-art development and manufacturing facility in Grove City, Ohio, we ship our products to customers across the US and around the world.  We have an immediate need for a Process Engineer.

Responsibilities include the following: Identify and control critical process variables through an understanding of the product features developed through warranty returns and interfacing with the product development group.  Develop or refine processes as needed in the support of current and future products.  Employ disciplined problem solving methods as directed by the engineering group.  Support quality programs requirements and initiatives as needed (QS9000, ISO 9001, Lean, 8D, etc.).  Knowledge and experience with machining processes, metal forming techniques such as deep drawing, hydroforming and spinning and demonstrated capabilities in physical metallurgy of controlled purity metals and alloys is desired.  Participate in scrap and waste reduction activities.  Support process engineering activities to achieve strategic objectives as assigned.

Qualifications include having BS or MS in Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering with 5+ years related manufacturing experience, computer literacy required, experience in metal casting and/or fabrication processes and/or experience with machining processes preferred. New graduates will be considered as well.
