Postwar Modernist really cool starburst.
Edstar.  Ed Wiener's jewelry design was stimulated by the contemporary art movement of the post WW II era, taking clues from the work of Picasso and Calder. This starburst brooch and earrings set is typical of the work crafted and sold in his New York city shops of the 1940's and 1950's. The brooch is pictured on page 255 of the Silver Jewelry Designs by Nancy Schiffer. Heavy sterling silver collar by Danish artist Andreas Mikkelsen.
686AM.  This heavy, sterling silver collar is so sleek and sophisticated!  It was created by the Danish artist Andreas Mikkelsen, managing director of Georg Jensen for years before he returned to designing.  This 12-3/4" circlet is signed and can be worn with or without its gold-washed sterling ornament.  Price is:   $285.00  incl. shipping in the US.
Brooch and screwback earrings in sterling silver with opal accents by Sam Kramer.
790BSA.  Circa the 1950's, this set was created by Sam Kramer (1913-1964), considered one of the most important postwar avant-garde studio jewelers of the 1940's and 50's.  Kramer's work was inspired by surrealist imagery and he was a unique, very well known personality in Greenwich Village.  His quite desirable jewelry has been showcased in numerous galleries and museums, including the American Craft Museum in New York, the Montreal Museum of Decorative Arts, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and the Musee des Arts Decoratifs, Paris.  In sterling silver with opal ornaments, this set is in great condition!  Price for the brooch and screwback earrings is:   SOLD.
Sterling silver brooch with inlaid red stones by Peruvian designer Laffi.
570.  By the Peruvian designer Laffi, this sterling silver pin has inlaid stones and is very dramatic!  Laffi is a highly collectible, up and coming designer of the 20th cent.  The red stones are really striking and this is a very weighty pin in excellent condition measuring 2-7/8" high by 2-3/4" wide.   SOLD.
Slim, sophisticated sterling silver bracelet by Finnish designer Erik Granit.
685ASCH.  Erik Granit (1930-1988) designed this signed sterling silver bracelet.  This bracelet by the Finnish designer measures 6-7/8" around the inside and is marvelously sophisticated.  It opens easily for you to wear and fastens securely.   Price is:   $125.00  incl. shipping in the US.
Great white enamel brooch by Norwegian designer Balle.
683BA.  In excellent condition, this striking white enamel pin is by Balle, a Norwegian designer becoming quite collectible.   The pictures don't show it, but this pin is slightly concave with incredible attention to detail including the back!  This brooch measures 1-6/8" by 1-3/8", and it is a handsome treasure that will draw notice.  Price is:   $135.00  incl. shipping in the US.
Silver gilt brooch in blue enamel by Norwegian designer Albert Scharning.
684.  This wonderful sterling silver gilt pin has an exquisite deep blue enamel and is so graceful!  By the Norwegian designer Albert Scharning, this pin is so lyric, measures 1-5/8" high by 7/8" wide, and its condition is excellent.  Price is:   $95.00  incl. shipping in the US.
Unique brooch  in sterling silver and lucite by Zagorav. 637luc.  Stunning brooch and bracelet (click on picture at left to see) in sterling silver, with a gold wash.  Signed Zagorav, with a crown over the name.  Each cabochon is an amber colored lucite.  This is bold!  The brooch is set in lucite, and measures 3-1/2" by 2-1/4".  Bracelet is 1-1/4" wide and fits up to an 8" wrist.  Great condition except for the gold wash that shows the patina of wear.  Price is:  $125.00  for both incl. shipping in the US.    Bracelet only is SOLD
